Bottle Cap Mosaics

This project focused on our culture's excessive plastic use and waste. Students considered their part in the "reduce, reuse, recycle" system through creating large scale mosaics made from plastic bottle caps. Collaboration and student leadership were essential in this project: the students designed the mosaic images collectively, glued the bottle caps, and participated in discussions about plastic waste. Students excersized their artistic and collaborative skills to create permanent artwork that aimed to educate and inspire the school community.
